Treatment

My aim is to provide a calm, relaxing, and peaceful treatment in your own space. I will ensure your comfort using fresh linens, pillows, and a blanket to keep you warm.  I am fully vaccinated and insured and follow Covid protocol as instructed by the AOR (Association of Reflexologists)

I will carry out a health and wellbeing consultation which will enable me to create an individual treatment plan to meet your specific needs.

I will ask you to remove your socks and recline you and the treatment will start. The session will take around an hour, after completed, the chair will be lifted to a seated position and some notes would be taken about any feedback.

The Benefits

Reflexology is based on the theory that the different organs and systems of the body are mapped on different points of the feet, hands, face and etc. Working on these points or areas corresponding organs or systems in the body. Reflexology allows the body to move towards a state of balance

Reflexology acknowledges that every person is unique so it is not possible to know in advance how you will react to treatment but some of the benefits of reflexology include:

· Deep relaxation and a reduction in stress levels
· Improved sleep
· Mood improvement
· Release of tension
· General well being
· Increased energy levels

Stress

Stress

We all deal with stress differently. Our ability to cope can depend on our genetics, early life events, personality, and social and economic circumstances.

When we encounter stress, our body produces stress hormones that trigger a fight or flight response and activate our immune system. This helps us respond quickly to dangerous situations.

Sometimes, this stress response can be useful: it can get us through fear or pain so we can run a marathon or deliver a speech. Our stress hormones will usually go back to normal quickly once the stressful event is over, and usually have no lasting effects.

However, too much stress can cause negative effects. It can leave us in a permanent state of fight or flight, leaving us overwhelmed or unable to cope. Long term, this can affect our physical and mental health.

Lack Of Sleep

Lack Of Sleep

We think that having a power nap will make us more productive- but in fact it has the opposite effect. It is important to have a good nights sleep, this is vital in helping the body heal and repair the heart and blood vessels and gives the organs a chance to rest and restore.

Regular poor sleep puts you at risk of serious medical conditions including obesity and diabetes. Lack of sleep is worse and suppresses the immune system making you vulnerable to infection and metabolic and hormone changes.
